“The Story Summit changed my relationship to story and the way I view the creative process. It
was a place where I found shared passion in a community of writers in a way I never knew
possible. The spirit of the Summit is something special and a welcome friend for those of us
who face the blank page. I have been reborn into my gift.”

- Edward Terry, Los Angeles, California

After a long winter and spring of isolation and quarantines, here we are on the first day of
summer: June 20, 2020! As the sun shines and the sea calls, we hope this will be a time of
renewal and rebirth for you.
Amidst the bonfires, keynotes, mentoring, and camaraderie, we are certain you will find a deeper
sense of your purpose and mission. As mentor, Jeff Arch, an Academy Award nominee for his
charming and classic rom-com, Sleepless in Seattle, says, “I don’t want to hear about an
aspiring writer. I want you to stop using that word, aspiring. I want you to say, ‘I am a writer.’
From now on, we are all writers.”
At Story Summit, we hope this is the week that changes your life, launching you on a new
trajectory of your writing career.
