Intimate conversations, bold and audacious questions, sharing a story or two or three or … five.

Once a month, for 90 minutes on a Sunday evening, Amy Ferris will sit down with her friends for lively, enlightening conversations. Talking shop, talking love, talking creativity, talking… about all and everything.

She’ll be asking Peter Spears how he chooses the films (and projects) he produces - the intimacy of each project; what draws him to a film - the characters, the screenplay… humanity seems to pour out from the page onto the screen. What was it about Nomadland that grabbed his heart so deeply? How did he get his start in Hollywood? What films have inspired him? Plus, any and all advice to budding screenwriters, and filmmakers.

She'll be asking Suzanne Braun Levine what it was like to be the very first Editor of Ms. Magazine, to work side-by-side with Gloria Steinem who is also her lifelong friend. With Women's Rights and many Human Rights on the block, Suzanne and Amy will talk about using our voices, writing our stories, why sharing our stories NOW is so vitally important, and how words… can change hearts and souls. Suzanne will also talk about making a documentary about the Women's Movement, and winning the prestigious Peabody Award.

She'll be with Screenwriter, Dale Launer at Kauai in person - how very wonderful - and they will be chit-chatting about movies: comedy, drama, Rom-Coms; My Cousin Vinny, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Ruthless People and Blind Date (to name a few) and all and everything screenwriting; what is his favorite genre and what are a few of his favorite films. Dale will be sharing some of his favorite Hollywood stories.

Those are just a few friends who will share a Sunday evening with Amy. And yes, there will be a few surprises… can anyone say: Ms. Magazine 50th Anniversary?

Amy is delighted to present these conversations to raise money for our Diversity Scholarship. The registration is free, but your donation will raise awareness AND lives. If you would like to contribute, we have different levels set up on the registration page to make it simple.
